"Didn't he do well!" - erm not exactly

Now I know that it's no PlayStation 3 or Sony Vaio Laptop but it's a start and it's one which I wanted to attain to prove that Swoopo does work. I'll be following this up with some photographic evidence as soon as my USB pen wings its way over to me. A couple of lessons learnt from last night: I did not secure this USB pen for a discount in actual fact I made a slight loss on it. However when you win your first ever auction you are given £10/$10/€10 of free bids for your next auction. But to my surprise! When you go through the process of paying for your item, Swoopo allow you to put the free bids towards the price of the product. Which is what I did, therefore in total the USB only cost me £2.90 delivery charge add the cost of the bids £12.80 and the total saving is from the RRP is a not so impressive £1.29! Hmm, I think I can do better than this!

Go Again...

So with my remaining 68 bids I'm going to try again to better that but first I'm going to do some research and target a product and try to (pardon the pun) swoop in at exactly the right time and pick up a true discount, we will see. One thing is for sure I went up against some stiff competition last night in the form of a player who goes by the username of 'Mrwhat' maybe he too was challenging himself too??? Or could it have been that I stupidly decided to change my username (after swoopo advising me it was too much like my email address) to... wait for it... HARD TO BEAT. Red rag to some pretty hungry bulls I expect. Talk about kicking yourself in the leg! Might have to revisit that name before I carry on again. Whoops slight hiccup on the 100 bid challenge

OK so last night didn't go exactly as planned. I stupidly forgot my credit card authorisation password and so had to change it and in the process something went wrong, because my Swoopo account did not update my bids and so I had to contact support. (all sorted now - good support at Swoopo!) However, being as it was 1.30am (my time) I decided to test my theory that it would be easier to win when bidding at stupid o'clock in the morning, as I thought their would be less people on and so not so much activity or competition. So I proceeded to top-up with just 50 bids, while I waited to hear back from Swoopo support. Well be under no illussions it's just as competitive at 1am, 2am and even 2.45am - which is when I eventually threw in the towel! (Boy am I'm going to suffer for that today!) Anyway, with that some what poorly researched theory in my head, I did what you should never do and started to switch my focus between products and eventually ended up wasting the vast majority of my bids across four auctions. (staying up late has it's disadvantages - my concentration went out the window) So lessons learnt..

Don't stay up past your bedtime - the competition is still high
Focus on your goal and stick with it

One bonus that I found from last night and I'll have to check whether this is going to be standard practice is that I received 2 lots of 2 free bids from Swoopo automatically accredited to my account. I received the following email:

Those FreeBids have already been credited to your account and will be good for the next 7 days. .. a nice touch from Swoopo I think you'll agree and makes the bitter pill a little easier to swallow. Anyhow my bid credit it now at 100 so I will attempt the challenge yet again tonight. Fingers crossed I won't fall asleep. Be Lucky!
