Why Is Swoopo Not Allowed In Some States?
Posted on September 26, 2009
I know that Swoopo is not likely to get you a good deal - more likely to waste a lot of money on bids - but I'm curious as to why they won't even let people from the following places register: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, Tennessee, Vermont, Puerto Rico and protectorates.
What are they doing that runs afoul of the law in these states? Is it something to do with internet gambling?

That is a great question and I was not eve aware that it is not allowed in those states.
I just found out about this site and registered and have been watching the site for past 2 days and it does look like a scam in a way that you have to buy bids and keep bidding and someone jumps in the last moment and I did notice that the same users have been bidding for past 2 days. Who knows it might be the people working for the company that are bidding and and scamming people of the bids and starting the auction all over again.
Come to think of it they have the same products everyday, for example its hard to buy a WII as is and they have so many going out during the day.
Total bullshit website and good to know that its not allowed in some states.

Well I'm from Arkansas and I got to register. Interestingly enough, though, the lottery went into effect in Arkansas Oct. 1 so it might have changed.
