OK so last night didn't go exactly as planned. I stupidly forgot my credit card authorisation password and so had to change it and in the process something went wrong, because my Swoopo account did not update my bids and so I had to contact support. (all sorted now - good support at Swoopo!) However, being as it was 1.30am (my time) I decided to test my theory that it would be easier to win when bidding at stupid o'clock in the morning, as I thought their would be less people on and so not so much activity or competition. So I proceeded to top-up with just 50 bids, while I waited to hear back from Swoopo support. Well be under no illussions it's just as competitive at 1am, 2am and even 2.45am - which is when I eventually threw in the towel! (Boy am I'm going to suffer for that today!) Anyway, with that some what poorly researched theory in my head, I did what you should never do and started to switch my focus between products and eventually ended up wasting the vast majority of my bids across four auctions. (staying up late has it's disadvantages - my concentration went out the window) So lessons learnt..

• Don't stay up past your bedtime - the competition is still high
• Focus on your goal and stick with it

One bonus that I found from last night and I'll have to check whether this is going to be standard practice is that I received 2 lots of 2 free bids from Swoopo automatically accredited to my account. I received the following email:

Hi Adam,

We hope you have been enjoying the thrill of hunting for a great deal at Swoopo. Even though you didn‘t win the 50 FreeBids Voucher (Auction 126272), we have decided to give you 2 FreeBids as a token of our appreciation for trying out Swoopo.  Those FreeBids have already been credited to your account and will be good for the next 7 days. .. a nice touch from Swoopo I think you'll agree and makes the bitter pill a little easier to swallow. Anyhow my bid credit it now at 100 so I will attempt the challenge yet again tonight. Fingers crossed I won't fall asleep. Be Lucky!
